Radiology information system :RIS (Yokogawa Electric Corporation)

Interface structure

Between radiology information system and modalities, not only patient information but also examination content must be registered directly to modalities. This registration is based on JJ1017 version 3.0 code that respects interoperability and is conducted according to connection guidelines that use DICOM standard. For this purpose, we implemented new connection.

Message from the vender about the system used

Our company developed "RadiQuest/RIS" by condensing our excellent record of radiology information system buildup and the know-how cultivated there in the past. We developed this system to realize the following three features.

  1. Improvement in the operating efficiency of the radiology department We configured the operation screens along user's workflow, such as reception work, reading room work, etc. As a result, the labor saving effect is great in communication of information, such as examination reservation, reception, examination, etc, and also in summation of radiotherapy records and various statistical data. Individual operation is simplified by a touch panel mechanism. Doctor's instruction and memo from reception work are input with a template. The exposure conditions and records are provided with default input, etc. Such careful arrangement supports improvement of work efficiency.
  2. Support of filmless operation
Each system shares information about the examination progress, examination order, and examination result. Thus, our system supports filmless operation. At RIS terminals, it is possible to correlate the past images and the present observation report. Thus, our system supports the work of filmless examination.
  3. Standardization reduces the burden caused by introduction of system.
Our system serves as IHE-J OrderFiller actor, and supports integration profiles SWF and PIR to connect HIS, Modality, PACS, etc. We fuse the operation know-how accumulated by the radiology department with the actual operation, and help you introduce IHE-J smoothly.
